Let us compare the so called industry hit Mahesh Babu's Dookudu with Power Star Pawan Kalyan's Panjaa to analyse if there is a possibility for Pawan Kalyan to stand as No.1 Hero (in terms of box-office collections) in tollywood!
Makers of Dookudu have taken enough care on choosing the subject, cast and technical crew along with selecting a brilliant time-slot for its release (on 23rd
September, 2011 – during a long vacation and holiday season) with highest number of prints (1400+).
There were
only 2 decent size movies released (Kandireega & Dhada) on 12th
August 2011 in tollywood, i.e., almost 6 weeks before Dookudu’s release date, out of
which one was a major dud. Also there was enough gap of over 7 weeks before
these two releases - where there was not even a single major movie released
with expectations, after Badrinath and 180 (they were released on 10th and 24th
of June 2011) these two were also duds.
So there was a huge gap of over 13
weeks (i.e., almost 100days) in tollywood, without any major hit (other than Kandireega). Makers of Dookudu were pretty confident without having any competition and ample time in hand for its promotional programs to create the hype required to grab the attention of movie lovers and tollywood audience (who were
eagerly waiting for a super hit entertainer at the festive season from Mahesh
Babu, after his successive debacles like Athidi and Mahesh Khaleja).
Now it is the biggest challenge
for Power Star Pawan Kalyan to show the Power of his Panjaa (in terms of
opening and long run collections like Mahesh Babu's - Dookudu), due to the fact that there are more than 8 Promising Movies releasing this season i.e., in
the next 7 to 8 weeks (7th Sense, Ra-One, Mogudu, Oh My Friend,
Bezawada, Sri Rama Rajyam, Rajanna, Ganga – The Body Guard), while Panjaa hitting the screens on 9th December 2011 (most probably).
Now the time has come to prove the
real “Star Power” of “Power Star” to prove once again that he is
the highest crowd puller and box office opener in the history of Tollywood (after
Mega Star Chiranjeevi). Producers of Panjaa, have already started their promotional programs by releasing its first look posters and first official teaser and planning to release couple more trailers by this weekend (29th & 30th October 2011).
Having more than 6 weeks of time for its promotion and publicity work, they are bringing the music album of Panjaa on 13th November 2011, i.e., about two weeks from now, which will decide half fate of the movie!

Lets wait for another 7 weeks for the actual result my dear friends!
Its a wonderful opportunity for Pawan Kalyan to show his power - at this highly competitive season if he scores a block buster hit then - no one can beat him! He will become No.1 of Tollywood!
