Online PF Statements - Excellent Initiative by EPFO, India

I have been struggling to transfer my old PF account balance to the current PF account from quite some time now, I thought of earning cumulative balance on the accumulated amount by doing so. But due to lack of cooperation and support, I could not find the actual problem for this issue....

After knowing that both of my PF accounts are still not merged (even after 2.6 years from the day I quit my previous employer) I am even more worried and now eager to know the detailed PF Balance Statements to cross check, if every thing is OK. Thanks to the EPFO (India) authorities, who made it transparent and possible for every PF Member to check and download their detailed PF Statement (with up-to-date balances) - Online with a simple process.

I have explored this a couple of weeks back and enjoyed this option very much and would like to share the process to download the PF Statements to all my blog visitors. Below mentioned detailed process would certainly help everyone in understanding about this facility:

Employees' Provident Fund Organisation, India (A Statutory Body under Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India) is providing this option of downloading the updated PF Balance Statement to every member - through their Member Protal (Beta Version).

Along with a few other online facilities such as "Know Your EPF Balance", "Know Your Claim Status" & "Establishment Search", EPFO has recently provided this much exciting option for all its members (employees/employers) to obtain their PF Statements with detailed balance reports - Online.

First step to obtain the PF Statement through this portal is to register in it, by providing the set of below mentioned simple information (as shown in the snapshot below):

As one can see, it is the mobile number which is acting as a primary key here which will enable the servers to send you an sms "authorization pin" to complete the registration process. During this simple registration process, the member needs to provide any of the below listed identity proof document details as a proof:
Select Any One Document* :

Soon after the registration is done, the member will receive an SMS containing the user name and password - using which the member can enter into the below portal (I have logged in using my credentials to explain in detail)...

From the above seen menu items, one needs to click on the Download E Passbook option to move to the next step. For the first time, the member might not get the updated balance statement right away - as the EPFO authority is still in the process of updating all the individual members' balance details into their servers.

However, the member should provide their PF Account Number (By Selecting The State and The Office Name) to raise a request for obtaining the same by submitting the ticket... Once the statement is ready EPFO would send an sms to the registered mobile number, informing about the readiness of the statement and then the member can login and follow the same process (as depicted in the below GIF Picture) to download his/her statement..

    1. In case if you want to provide your current address proof (Bangalore's) then go ahead and apply from Bangalore PSK (However you should mention your permanent address as your native address - I am hoping your parents are still residing at the same place). This is the actual process.

Else you have to apply from A.P. and should present at your permanent address during the police verification (in this case you should never mention about your Bangalore story). But the risk is that you may get a phone call from the police (after successful submission of your application, for verification) just one day advance and you should manage to meet him at your permanent address for verification.
