Eega Movie Review by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

Creative Genius Rajamouli has passed his 10th Movie with distinction and proved once again that he is technically brilliant and highly talented!! 



Story, Screenplay, Direction: SS Rajamouli, who started his career in 2001 with Student No.1 did not tasted failure in his 10 Movie career even after 11 years (i.e., even in 2012).

The basic reason for this is that he prepares well (extensively well) for his script and the entire movie - scene by scene and if possible frame by frame. His vision towards the final output before start of shoot and after finishing the post-production will be the same and there will be no much changes (the project might end up with much more positive highlights, but not with mistakes or negative changes). Coming to Eega, Rajamouli intelligently started narrating the story in a much realistic way - i.e., a father telling the story to his daughter.... This made every critic shut their mouth and stopped their hands in writing negative word about Eega movie. The very reason for mentioning about the above line is that the movie is full of fiction and every scene has a flaw (if we treat the movie as a regular movie). But these days any commercial movie is filled with flaws and the way Eega taken off was mind-blowing and makes a lot of sense.

Eega - Telugu Movie - Live Updates (Detailed)

The So Called "Director of Technical Brilliance - SS Rajamouli" (who never saw a flop in his career of 10 Movies since 2001) is arriving with a huge bang tomorrow as Eega!! The movie is as usual releasing all over the world to grab the attention of world audience.. Lets see if he has still maintained the standards of Magadheera or crossed that mark with this flick. Hope this "Jakkanna" will stand proud as a crucial member of tollywood even with his 10th movie, just wait for another 24 hours or so for the final review.

With the inspiration from "Gabbar Singh Live Updates" (my first live updates post), now I wanted to repeat the same with Eega's Live Updates on my blog tomorrow (but for the matinee show, as I always believe that FDFS will never tell us the actual range of the movie due to the Fans Hangama).....

Eega-Julayi-Devudu Chesina Manushulu-July Releases

First post of my 29th year is on "July month movie releases", lets see if my birth month gets a super success for all the three big movie makers...

Co-incidentally, all the three movies are directed by tollywood big & sharp directors (who have already proved their caliber with their previous projects), lets discuss about these 3 movies now:

To start with, SS Rajamouli's "Eega" - Releasing on 6th July 2012 - which has an only drawback, that is a wafer thin story line (already revealed through the trailer) with a graphical treat (that has actually taken a very long time to complete the production work). Positives of this movie include, reputed director and his creative ability in shaping the project, beautiful Samantha as a full length heroine etc., Finally the movie is getting released in multiple languages all over the world is a great benefit for the makers. With this project, one can estimate the range of this director.. Wait for another 2 days from now!!

Tollywood Hungama this Summer (2012)

This year would be the biggest summer (in terms of making business) for Tollywood! With movies like Ram Charan's Racha, NTR Jr.'s Dhammu, Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh & Rajamouli's Eega geared-up for release, industry will surely make a big money this summer (by the end of June).

Each of these four projects have been made with extreme care by the entire cast and crew (especially the lead actors/directors) of the respective projects for the following reasons: - 

Inspite of 3 Successive Flops, 3 Crazy Projects are Awaiting...

Generally, craze for any hero in the film industry builds with his immediate previous projects (HITS)... But one man is contradicting this formula and standing against it ...he is none other than Power Star Pawan Kalyan! 

His Komaram Puli released with usual hype, but failed to pull crowds to the theatres; Pawan opted Love Aajkal remake "Theenmaar" again the movie failed in collecting monies; Even his Panjaa failed to shake the box office and could not entertain his fans and all the movie lovers.... so total 3 flops in a row!

Now is the time for him to realize and show his power to the box office, but how? Currently Power Star is working with young director "Harish Shankar" for his Gabbar Singh, but Whats next??

Rajanna Movie Review by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

Rajanna is the last big budget movie of the year came with huge expectations due to the presence of Rajamouli, supporting his father in the action episodes of the movie.

Story, Dialogues, Screenplay & Direction:  Vijayendra Prasad, being the father of 100% successful director (Rajamouli) certainly work on pressure for his prestigious project like Rajanna especially when he is directing a big star like Nagarjuna. The story-line prepared by Mr. Prasad with suitable punch dialogues (matching the theme) was really good and have the standards of becoming a land mark movie in the history of tollywood. He had taken enough care on extracting performances from the baby (Annie) and the music director (Keeravani) among other technical departments such as cinematography team, dialogues and action episodes (by Rajamouli).

Pawan Kalyan's Honest Speech at Panjaa Audio Launch

Watch this Video - Excellent Speech by Pawan Kalyan, expressing all his emotions and feelings! As per my understanding with this video, there is a certain split / difference between Pawan and Chiru.....Its the time for Mega Family to stop continuing the same mistake, at least now!

Slowly turning into 29, while watching my favourite movie for 28 times

Being a long weekend (Monday, 4th July 2011 is American Independence Day - Holiday) these 3 days I have covered few of Chiranjeevi's Old Movies (80's & 90's) and yesterday evening Chatrapathi followed by my all time favourite - Athadu (28th time, I have started this movie late in the night, when I am slowly crossing 28). It took 4 hours for me to complete it, one can guess I was getting numerous phone calls in between (Wishes). Out of my surprise, my cousins even arranged a cake cut party and we had a blast exactly at the interval time of the movie (Athadu). Even after the party, my job was to continue receiving phone calls and had to take a long interval break of about 1 hour, to resume the movie!!

While watching this movie and the previous one (Athadu & Chatrapathi), I can clearly see that difference and the improvement in film making from early 80's to present!! Do not know if many observe the title cards with same attention as movies or not, but I strongly feel that one should remember & visualize every technician's effort in the movie while enjoying the scenes, sounds/music and the entire visual feast - apart from the front-end artist.

Ofcourse it is the actor/actress who portrays the actual role play, but it is the director who do the complete interpretation of a written script, using their vision and creativity, along with organizational and technical skills, to deliver a complete motion picture.

As I told before, I started the weekend watching old movies and can clearly see n number of flaws in Legendary Directors' so called Hits! and Failed to catch atleast a weak scene in the above mentioned 2 Movies - Chatrapathi & Athadu! Hats off to both the captains......Every aspect of these two movies were made exceptionally good with utmost care, whether it may be in selection of cast, crew, script and grip on the subject, commitment from every technician including music director, cinematographer, choreographer, stunt master, editor & so on...

"The movie is a product from a team and the film director plays a major role in it".

With this I just wanted to suggest young directors to watch perfect movies n times and learn how to do movies....which will surely help every stakeholder of the movie!

There are other movies as well such as Ithey, Vedam, Ala Modalaindi etc., which are well made, so please friends share your views on best movies by posting comments to this blog :)

Maryada Ramanna - Movie - Review

Analysis:
SS Rajamouli has done a fabulous job as a director, having a great hold on Screenplay with a peculiar story line - ofcourse with an utmost support by his only music director MM Keeravani. Performances of all the artists exceeded expectations, specifically Sunil, Saloni and Brahmaji were amazing. Hilarious Comedy in a terrified situations was differently made in this movie and Sunil enacted extremely well in such scenes. Dances by Sunil, RR by MM, Graphics and Stunts are remarkable. But finally it is a director's movie.

Detailed Report:
Once again SS Rajamouli proved himself that SS stands for Super Success! He basically knows what is audience pulse, I mean he knows how to make a movie that wont waste the time of audience. Story by SS Kanchi (Story Idea being Vara Mullapudi's) was not so great but definetly impressive. It is Direction, Screenplay and RR which made it a huge success for such a small movie (small but not low budgeted movie). I would say the combination is the main highlights of the movie. Rajamouli made this movie to prove himself as a talented Movie Maker, unlike his usual movies (elevating a hero). Sunil did a decent job and secured 4.5/5, by doing justice to his role. But unfortunately, Script was not demanded Rajamouli to Elevate Sunil in this movie...However he was given an opportunity to prove himself as a great dancer. Saloni and all other actors have done a great job.

Rajamouli's selection of Location, Cinematographer - Ram Prasad, Art Director - Ravinder, Styling - Rama Rajamouli, Sets / Producers - Shobu Yarlagadda & Prasad Devineni is a great choice. Every Audience can see all these departments in every frame in the movie. I would say this is called perfection and efficient utilization of resources!

Music in Songs is just Good (3.25/5) but RR and Cinematography are Excellent (4.25/5) - Raviteja's Voice over for Cycle was helpful but not great. Overall movie deserves (3.25/5). Worth watching and a paisa wasool movie but dont go with huge expectations.
