RGV's review of Arjun Reddy - Vijay Deverakonda is 10 TIMES better than PAWAN KALYAN

The fundamental difference between SHIVA and ARJUN REDDY is that whereas Shiva probably could have been more structurally designed in terms of shot taking, shot division and characterizations,AR is much more identifiable and relatable in every sense
Personally I could identify with seven or eight scenes from AR which happened in my own life and that's the connectivity I am talking about The highly unconventional casting is just one of the many break throughs the film has managed to overcome ..Me being too long used to a stereotype way of thinking, when I first saw Shalini in her introduction scene,I was aghast that anyone can think of her as heroine material but by the time the film reached interval I felt there could be no one ever who could be better than her

I was also impressed with the ability of Sandeep Reddy Vanga to evoke so much heroism without any heroics in any scene ..its commendable on both the directors and actors part that they could so resist the temptation to crossover into widely believed and universally accepted commercial cliches
There's no attempt in the story to be judgemental on the characters and that can only come from the directors highly matured understanding of real people in real life situations ..A case in point is the director treating with respect even that guy who gets beaten up by vijay in the class room
Nowhere does it seem as if Sandeep took a decision to sit and write a great scene as often is the case with most main stream writers and directors ..It feels as if the scenes were just organically flowing by themselves and Sandeep just happened to be there to capture it
Also though the story is so simple the cuts in the screenplay take it to another level ..one cut I especially liked is the way the previous scene cuts into a glass shard being taken out of Shalini's foot
I always believed that,if the slow motion camera and ramping techniques were not invented most of the present day heroes would have to sit at home because none of them have the ability to hold a close up in front of the camera.
Without the aid of both Cinematic techniques and artificially written punch dialogues I can't recall a single actor creating any kind of impression compared to what Vijay has done in AR..I especially love the lengthy profile close up of Vijay towards the interval with that single tear drop slowly flowing on his cheek..it's one of the most evocative Cinematic images I have ever seen in my life
All in all I strongly believe that all of us in the whole film industry should thank Sandeep and Vijay for making all of us realise that a highly impactful film can be made
With such a low budget
Without lip sync songs
Without gravity defying action
With 3 hour above length
Without punch dialogues
Without any top technicians
and above all with an absolute 100% complete honesty in story telling
The audience should thank Vijay and Sandeep for making them realise that such high quality films like AR can be actually made and they don't need to settle for sub standard cliched and disgustingly formulaic films
All aspiring film makers should thank Sandeep for giving them a new direction to their directorial aspirations
To talk about Sandeep Reddy in one line in comparison to all established directors he respects the audiences intelligence whereas established directors imagine the audience to be fools
To talk about VIJAY DEVERAKONDA in comparison in one line,he in both looks and star charisma is 10 times better than PAWAN KALYAN and he is 20 times better in performance than PAWAN KALYAN
Considering the extraordinary realism in his performance I think VIJAY DEVERAKONDA should be given the title REAL POWER STAR

Atharintiki Daaredi Movie Review by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

Atharintiki Daaredi, I have watched this  movie on first day first show (I mean special show at 8:15 AM on Friday, 27th September 2013 - at Aravind Theatre, Chennai).

Due to some serious decisions and professional commitment, I had to stop blogging for sometime! But I could not resist myself in writing about Power Star Pawan Kalyan's movie, Atharintiki Daaredi. That's how this is becoming my first movie review post on my blog, in this calendar year!!

Just to mention in a single line - Atharintiki Daaredi is an expected range wholesome entertainer from Jalsa team, that entertains every movie lover, with all the required ingredients rightly placed in it. Specially I need to mention about Nadhia, Samantha, Prasad Murella, Rao Ramesh, DSP, Trivikram and Boman Irani etc., for their best contribution to this fabulous success.

As it was a FDFS, I could not able to grasp everything to judge the movie range and expand on this, just in my first observation (I was among the power fans who were at full swing). So will elaborate more on my review after my second watch....until then please enjoy the below pictures:

Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum & Genius Movie Reviews by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

After watching more than two thousand telugu movies, I have decided not to comment too much on movies. Thus this revolution of cut-shorting my reviews on telugu movies. Having said that, I would continue sharing my appreciations to the talented technicians and artists - those who add value to the industry standards.

Two among such subjects are the current topic of discussion, they are Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi's (popularly known as Krish) Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum & Omkar's Genius! Undoubtedly both the movies have amazingly creative thoughts and came out as brave attempts from the above mentioned gentlemen (two directors), of course with the support from their masters called Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry for Krish and Chinni Krishna for Omkar.

Immediately to start elaborating my views on each of these movies, separately - I have chosen the below style:

My personal view on Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum:

This movie is a brilliant thought and attempt that is excellently narrated by the director without any confusion, but he had to face few hiccups in injecting the actual intend of the theme into the common audience due to the sensitivity involved in the subject itself (about the presence of god). My perception in understanding the message in this movie is that, the meaning of the god is to help fellow human beings when they are in real need and sorrow.

Value Additions:
1) Subject, Narration and Theme
2) Music by Mani Sarma
3) Lyrics by Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry (specially Jaruguthunnadi Jagannaatakam)
4) Emotional Performances by each and every artist
5) Dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra (like Devudantey Saayam etc.,)
6) Twist in the story with a fresh idea

Pitfalls:
1) Casting mis-match (Nayanatara & Rana)
2) Lack of clarity in conclusion (at least for a common audience)

My Overall Rating for KVJ - 3.25 / 5

Denikaina Ready Movie Review by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

Denikaina Ready is my second movie in the October month, after Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu (a trimmed and incomplete version which was exhibited in Vyjayanthi Theatre). So followed by the great disappointment (because of stupid and psychic telangana issue on CGR Movie) it was a good relief to the Nizam film lovers as well as to the industry in the form of a Dhenikaina Ready success. So let us digg into this topic of movie review and discuss why this movie has listed in the HIT movies of 2012.

Vishnu Manchu who was in a crunch has come out with good colors this time with a comedy flavored movie, which was a good choice at this situation. The technical talent of this movie is an additional advantage and crucial for the actor to taste the success after long time.

Life is Beautiful Movie Review by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

A movie can be sensible and beautiful only with a brilliant and intellectual team of technicians and most importantly, the visionary Director and Script Writer. Coming to the  "Life is Beautiful" its a movie made with a specific intention and the captain proved his skill of turning simple things more beautiful once again with this flick. Though most of the reviewers are speaking rave about this movie, I personally liked the movie exceptionally good for many reasons (mentioned below) and rate Mr. Kammula's latest project with high marks.

Let us see why is this conclusion come from me....... It may be Dollar Dreams, Anand, Godavari, Happy Days or Leader and now Life is Beautiful - Sekhar Kammalu is always climbing high by selecting and making different kind of movies. He inspired and influenced me with his every flick and made me a great fan of his. It is very easy to comment on a technician's work but is highly difficult to shot a scene and coordinate with all the 24 frames, to make it beautiful.

Onamalu Movie Review by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

Onamalu is the combination of the legendary actor "Nata Kireeti" Dr. Rajendra Prasad's selection interest of such a thought proviking subject and the Director, Kranthi Madhav's sincere effort and divine attempt for changing the current living system at our villages (People forgetting the basic roots, moral values and are running behind false prestiges with a wrong impression that they are advancing in the modern life)!

Story, Screenplay, Direction: Kranthi Madhav, is exceptional debut director with a great sense of social responsibility and this can be easily seen in his movie - "Onamalu". While the meaning of present day cinema is the mixture of commercial elements that will en-thrill and entertain the common audience, this brave director has come up with an exceptionally admirable and appreciable subject. This mass communications masters degree holder must have missed in attracting masses to the theatres, but the target audience will never forget this daring master for this master piece!

Story Coordination: Thammudu Satyam in words of the director Kranthi Madhav - "Since Onamalu deals with human relationships and I am too young, I need somebody whose experience can add depth to the story. That is where Tammudu Satyam stepped in. He has brought his rich experience to this story. The story I have narrated to Rajendra Prasad has completely transformed into a better one with the involvement of Tammudu Satyam".

Dialogues: Khadeer Babu once again proved that he is a sensible dialogue writer with an indepth knowledge and understanding on the subject. He described the importance of dialogues for a message oriented movie with his work in Onamalu, which will pierce directly into the hearts of many sensible audiences. One can learn the meaning of unity in diversity through his dialogues.

Music: Koti has all that required skill to elevate the scene with the power called music and is definitely lucky enough to get such brilliant subject once again. Koti  has provided amazing background score for Onamalu along with soothing music for the sensible lyrics penned by Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry Garu.

Eega Movie Review by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

Creative Genius Rajamouli has passed his 10th Movie with distinction and proved once again that he is technically brilliant and highly talented!!

Story, Screenplay, Direction: SS Rajamouli, who started his career in 2001 with Student No.1 did not tasted failure in his 10 Movie career even after 11 years (i.e., even in 2012).

The basic reason for this is that he prepares well (extensively well) for his script and the entire movie - scene by scene and if possible frame by frame. His vision towards the final output before start of shoot and after finishing the post-production will be the same and there will be no much changes (the project might end up with much more positive highlights, but not with mistakes or negative changes). Coming to Eega, Rajamouli intelligently started narrating the story in a much realistic way - i.e., a father telling the story to his daughter.... This made every critic shut their mouth and stopped their hands in writing negative word about Eega movie. The very reason for mentioning about the above line is that the movie is full of fiction and every scene has a flaw (if we treat the movie as a regular movie). But these days any commercial movie is filled with flaws and the way Eega taken off was mind-blowing and makes a lot of sense.

Dhammu Movie Review by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

After two consecutive flops (Shakthi & Oosaravelli) - NTR Jr. wanted to choose a perfect script for his next movie that should bring back his glory in tollywood and thus choose his favorite genre script, Dhammu. The young actor was pretty confident about scoring a big success to join the 40Cr+ Club / Top Five Earners - with this flick, but let us see how the movie is actually faring!

Screenplay & Direction: Boyapati Seenu, the four (4) movie young director has some rare talents of directing scenes extra-ordinarily, but as he is still young in the field needs to learn varied topics of highlighting the subject and theme as a whole while canning some brilliant scenes - which would then finally appreciated by the audiences. His efforts of pleasing big stars like Ravi Teja, Venkatesh, Bala Krishna & NTR Jr., with his subjects and scripts is simply appreciable, but the way he shapes out the final product is not so absolute perfect. Having described about his qualities, Boyapati again chose the same theme as of his previous movies (Mass-Action) once again for Dhammu.

Racha Movie Review by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

After a debacle (Orange) - Ram Charan Tej - the Magadheera S/o. Magadheerudu of tollywood, took his time to come back with a bang (Racha) this summer to entertain the movie lovers (especially the mass audience). Let us see how he managed to impress the cinegoers with the 2 movie director Sampath Nandi as the captain of the ship..

Until the movie - Racha announced no one knows who Sampath Nandi is (though he already worked for a small budget movie as his debut directorial film). But this time it is a wonderful opportunity for him to prove his capability of handling such a huge project. Ishq Movie Review by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

Nitin with a decade of his acting experience, have seen many flops and few hits out of his 18 Movies. On 14th June 2002, the actor's first movie Jayam (Directed by Teja) released and was proved as a huge box-office hit. His second movie Dil (Directed by VV Vinayak) was also a big hit followed by a flop movie Sambaram (but remained as a sincere attempt by the Director Dasarath) and then tasted a sensational hit Sye (Directed by SS Rajamouli) which has helped in proving himself as a bankable star.

But unfortunately there was not even a single HIT for him after SS Rajamouli's Sye (which was released on 23rd September 2004 i.e., almost 7 and a half years back), though his immediate movie Sri Anjaneyam (Directed by Krishna Vamsi) brought him some recognition as a good actor the movie failed to collect monies. The next 12 Movies of Nitin were also resulted as "Flop to Above Average Movies". This time Nitin chose to come up with a wonderful team as a lead actor in "ISHQ - a Smashing Hit" after 13 movies long wait. His hard work and sincerity paid off with this flick!

Now let us see what made this movie a biggest hit in Nitin's career?

Prakash Jha's Aarakshan - An Excellent Attempt

I am just done with my late night show - Aarakshan (a Prakash Jha's Movie)...........I am thrilled and wanted to put a single statement on the movie - "Aarakshan is an Out Standing Movie, these kind of movies will certainly motivate at least few Indians to choose such a path to provide unselfish service against the educational system currently practicing in the country". I thoroughly enjoyed every frame of the movie and clapped hard numerous times for Jha's excellent taking and thought provoking scenes - excellent performances by every technician (including actors/actresses) - Such movies should deserve a great applause and even deserves BIG AWARDS!

Businessman Movie Review by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

After a smashing hit (Dookudu), Mahesh Babu joined his hands with Puri Jagan to wrap up Businessman in just 74 days (fastest movie of Mahesh Babu as hero till date). With the immediate previous hit and the festive release advantage coupled with the then industry hit combination has created a lot of hype on the movie, but what is the actual result of the Businessman output and what range of Business is it going to do....?

Story, Screenplay, Dialogues & Direction: Puri Jagannadh who is known for his brilliant direction of simple scripts with the help of powerful punch dialogues has repeated the magic once again with Pokiri (Mahesh Babu), but this time as The Businessman. Firstly we should appreciate the captain of the ship for completing the project in a very short span of time that too with a super star, same time bringing out the quality output. Though the movie is away from reality, the narration and racy screenplay in collaboration with thought provoking and piercing dialogues have added great value to the simple script.

Bodyguard Movie Review by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

After a long gap of over an year, Venkatesh has come up with his choice (of remake) as Bodyguard. Released with a good hype and pre-release talk, lets see how is it competing with Mahesh Babu's Businessman which was released just one day before its release...

Story, Screenplay & Direction: Gopichand Malineni has tilted Siddique's original story-line a bit to match the nativity, which is still not so convincing to our audience. Though I did not watched the original  (Malayalam) version or that of Tamil, I got a chance to keenly observe Salman's Bodyguard (Hindi Version on Sunday) after watching Venky's (on Saturday) to draw the above conclusion. Having stated that there are slight changes in the story line, the key concept and the theme remains same which should help the movie becoming a commercial HIT.

Rajanna Movie Review by Chaitanya Kumar Vummethala

Rajanna is the last big budget movie of the year came with huge expectations due to the presence of Rajamouli, supporting his father in the action episodes of the movie.

Story, Dialogues, Screenplay & Direction:  Vijayendra Prasad, being the father of 100% successful director (Rajamouli) certainly work on pressure for his prestigious project like Rajanna especially when he is directing a big star like Nagarjuna. The story-line prepared by Mr. Prasad with suitable punch dialogues (matching the theme) was really good and have the standards of becoming a land mark movie in the history of tollywood. He had taken enough care on extracting performances from the baby (Annie) and the music director (Keeravani) among other technical departments such as cinematography team, dialogues and action episodes (by Rajamouli).
