Excellent Experience at Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)

When I first heard about the news on PSK, I felt it was a great news for me (I never wanted to spend much time standing on queues to get my passport). On 5th of December 2011, I have filled applications for both myself and my wife (online) by registering separate user ids for both of us. 

But, unfortunately we were not having sufficient address proofs apart from the Ration Card (and my wife's name is also not yet added in it) which is also not an acceptable or sufficient address proof (Click here to know what are all the documents required to apply  for a fresh passport on regular mode), you may also want to visit here - to find the best option for address proof. Using CEOANDHRA website, I managed to get my wife's Voter ID Card with our address. To know more about applying for new Voter ID Card / Make any changes in your existing Voter ID Card you may need to visit: Online Applications for Electoral ID Cards

After filling and submitting our application forms online, I have booked time slots for documents submission and processing (we need to login with our registered credentials to passportindia.gov.in website sharp at 6 PM IST to reserve/book appointments). I have also uploaded the scanned copies of our SSC Marks Sheets, Birth Certificates (actually not required for us - but must for those who born after 26th Jan 1989) and Marriage Certificate along with our Voter ID Cards (which are not valid address proof documents, as they were issued just one month back - these were supposed to be issued at least one year before the date of application).

Pawan Kalyan starrer Panjaa will release on a grand scale in Hyderabad though few good theaters are unavailable in main areas. Current number of theaters in Hyderabad is 60 and might reach 75 says the latest buzz.  Panjaa will run for 20 shows on Day 1 in Prasadz. Meanwhile, Panjaa Nizam theaters have been confirmed in 168 theaters and might be extended to 200. However, the release theaters are less comparative to Dookudu and Oosaravelli despite its huge expectations and buzz. Panjaa is directed by Vishnuvardhan and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Neelima Tirumalashetty on Sanghamitra Productions and Arka media. Yuvan Shankar Raja scored the music for the film.

Pawan Kalyan's Panjaa is releasing on 9th December 2011. The first list of Panja release theatres in Nizam is out. Siri Media is releasing Panja movie in Nizam area. The distribution company have paid a whopping amount of  Rs. 14 corers to bag the rights.

Panja is likely to release in sixty plus theatres in Hyderabad and two hundred plus screens in Nizam. This is one of the massive releases of recent times. There are sky high expectations on this film that it is going to have a record release in all areas. This is a stylish action entertainer in which Pawan does the role of a mafia don under Kolkata back drop. Vishnuvardhan is the director of this film and Sarah Jane Dias and Anjali Lavania are playing the female leads.Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for this film.

Tatkal Passport in 3 days with 3 Passport Seva Kendras in Hyderabad now

One of the other best initiative from the Government of India is that it has set up three (3) Passport Seva Kendras in Hyderabad itself and in total 77 PSKs across the country! Please read the below article from The New Indian Express, it's an official announcement!

HYDERABAD: To discourage mediators’ involvement and provide timely services in a transparent manner, the Regional Passport Office here has set up Passport Seva Kendras in the twin cities and at Vijayawada, Tirupati and Nizamabad.

Speaking to mediamen here on Tuesday, regional passport officer K Srikar Reddy said the Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) would function shortly. The state capital will have three kendras, one each at Ameerpet, Tolichowki and Begumpet. These will be functioning from November 25.

“Applicants need not stand in long queues and wait endlessly in front of the Regional Passport Office in Secunderabad to submit applications. They can visit passport office’s website and book a slot.

After being assigned the application number, the applicants can approach the nearest PSK and submit their bona-fidess. We will issue normal passport in 30 days and Tatkal passport in three days,’’ he said.

Reddy said the passport department launched 77 PSKs across the country in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in private-public partnership mode. TCS will assist the passport department through outsourcing in issuing passports in a jiffy. The department will get police enquiry details online. “As many as 2,000 passports a day will be issued to applicants through the PSKs in the twin cities. The new initiative will help us in preventing private agents’ involvement.’’

The RPO said that they would set up one passport centre at each district headquarters to deliver passport-related services in a timely, transparent, more accessible and reliable manner and in a comfortable environment through streamlined processes and committed, trained and motivated work force.

With fake passport cases being reported in the twin cities, he said, they identified as many as 100 applicants and sent their documents to the Election Commission for verification. As of now, they received the report that 10 of the applicants submitted fake proofs and they asked the city police for necessary action against them.

Sanghi Temple on a Sunday Evening

Yesterday (Sunday) evening, again we had an outdoor weekend – not too far from my parents’ place but away from the city! It’s Sanghi Temple, a beautiful place to spend with your family (or) friends – at least for a couple of hours!

We (I, my wife, my sister-in-law and her husband) have planned for it at around 2 PM, while having our lunch (at my parents’ place - which is just about 15 KMs away from Sanghi). Followed by lunch we had a nice chat session of about two hours and then decided to drive towards Sanghi Temple! It was about 5PM when we actually started from our place and by the time we reached Sanghi, it was 5:30 PM - we never missed the last scene of sunset! Ya, but obviously missed the light – this resulted in poor output on our ordinary digital camera (However we managed to capture few beautiful pictures around).

I should thank God, coz temple authorities haven’t stopped us from capturing few pictures of the temple and ourselves, so we could! We had just spent about an hour there and returned back by 6:30 PM. Roads there were neat and good (of course that was an outs cut to the city), I should especially talk about the Jawaharlal Nehru Outer Ring Road which bisects our route – was simply amazing. One will definitely get the feel of driving on a foreign locale there!

Snow World for the First Time in my Life

It’s been a decade, I have seen water in Hussain Sagar from a boat (last time my brother, cousin and his friend did Parasailing on Hussain Sagar – that was a decade ago)! Being an Hyderabadi guy it’s an insult to me, but the truth is that only yesterday I visited Buddha Statue on Hussain Sagar, for the first time in my life. It was a nice experience and also learnt a tip to make your wife and life most happy on a weekend day by just changing a 500 Rupee Note. I will tell you what I did and how you can make one of your Saturdays most memorable!

Rainy Day in Hyderabad

Hah it was a rainy day! I had to start to work from home before 6 PM (on 1st July 2010)after taking just 2.5 hours rest (from 3 PM to 5:30 PM). Sky was full of dark clouds and it is understood that it will rain heavily..Prepared for that and started at 6:15 PM.

Now, the topic is - Can I reach office atleast by 8 PM (which is almost two times the actual time that needs for this distance/route)? With a great difficulty, I reached upto Shoppers Stop (which is just 4 KMs away from my office) by 7 PM, imagine how much time would I need to reach my office from there - Eee Varsham Saakshigaaa....

After spending around 45 Mins I managed to reach upto Lifestyle, so many cuts/stunts in between, suddenly saw a great-big wall which stopped everyone of us who are coming from Begumpet to Banjara Hills.. This wall is made up of people with bikes and cars..

Oh my god I had to take right turn here, went up to Ameerpet X Roads and from there YousufGuda to Krishna Nagar and Banjara Hills (Finally Office) - Now the time is 8:20 PM only..So it took more than 2 Hours for me to reach Office.

In between I had to do lot of stunts with my bike and did a small shopping as well...

Dont blow horn, when it is not required

I hate people who blow their two wheeler horns while driving on Hyderabad City roads. In my experience of over 3 years on Begumpet to Hitec City route, I have never used horn for more than 50 times. But from the last one month I am observing, few people on roads who repeatedly use their horns even when there is no need. There is no need to use horn on Hyderabad roads, I pity for those who use Horn repeatedly (They must be unaware of driving)......Save City from Pollution and Save Planet.
