Karbonn launches 5.9" dual SIM Tablet Phone

For those who want the best mobile phone at a best price, this is a very good news! Karbonn A30 pushes the boundary between a tablet and a phone, claiming to be ‘World’s first 15cm (5.9”) phone’. Remember the Galaxy Note (5.3”) and Note II (5.5”) which Samsung branded as ‘Phablet’—a hybrid of Phone and Tablet.

Amalgamating the functions of a smart phone and a tablet, Karbonn here poses stiff competition to its Indian rival Micromax. The two brands have been vying with each other to woo the budget-conscious Indian buyers. They offer tablet computers and mobile handsets of high specifications that match those from global players, at almost one-third their price.

The Galaxy Notes come for prices above Rs. 35K; Galaxy SII and SIII for Rs. 30K and 35K; Karbonn A 30 and Micromax A 110 are available for around Rs. 11,000.

'Not a car': Bajaj Auto unveils low-cost 4-wheeler 'RE60'

New Delhi, January 03, 2012

India’s second-largest motorbike manufacturer Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) on Tuesday unveiled its long-awaited compact passenger vehicle RE60, just two days before the start of the Delhi Auto Expo. The company, however, insisted it was not a car and was intended as a step forward for three-wheeler owners.

“We are not trying to make a car but a four wheeler meant to ferry people in cities,” said Rajiv Bajaj, managing director, BAL. “It is not an incremental but dramatic improvement over a three wheeler. There are over 5 million Bajaj three wheelers in the country today. Thats the market we are aiming for.”

Got Bored with the Routine Busy Life in City?

Are you a Student - dying to travel distances everyday, carrying a huge burden at your back - to your School or College? (or) Are you fed-up with your boss and the office work (if you are an employee) - don't tell me that you are a software engineer, surely you must be irritated at you work place (working for more than 10 hours a day - under  uncontrollable pressures). Then you are missing a lot in your life!

I would say life is not just a journey, its a journey of joy! So my dear friends, why don't we try to do some treasure hunt (not really treasure) for better options to enjoy our lives to the fullest, if not every day (every minute, every second) - at least on a weekend (or) at least once in a month (or) at least once in a quarter you should have an outdoor trips with your friends / colleagues / families. Believe me this will boast your energy and surely help you in relaxing from all the useless tensions in your life.

Out of my past experiences, one such wonderful location is an eight hour trip to Papikondalu from Rajahmundry on the River Godavari by Boat (this can be extended up to Bhadrachalam, which will be a much more excited trip). Yes! I had this great fun just twice in my life and I will do this again and again...

Travelling being my passion, I used to go for long drives to Sagar and Srisailam by bikes very regularly (say once in a quarter). But for the first time when we planned this trip to Papikondalu, I thrilled travelling to Rajahmundry with my Graduation friends by Train (for an already planned and reserved Papikondalu Trip through APTDC). But when I tried doing the same next time, APTDC could not provide required tickets for the trip (due to the short notice). For those people who want to book tickets for boat seats (or a complete boat) just before a week's time with a limited budget, then there is a way...

iPad is finally here in India!

Yahoo! India Finance, On Friday 28 January 2011, 12:29 PM

Apple is finally launching its much-awaited tablet iPad in India. The company has tied up with government-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited to launch the tablet in the country.

The Wi-Fi version of the iPad will be priced between Rs 26,000 and Rs 33,000, while the 3G+Wi-Fi version will be priced between Rs 33,000 and Rs 44,000. Both versions will come in three capacities, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

India has never been the most important market for Apple so it has always delayed its India launch. It is finally launching in India when there are already rumours of the iPad 2 launch just few months away.

The big question is will iPad really woo Indian techies? We don't think so. At a time when the market is flooded with tablets from Samsung, Dell and Notion Ink, iPad doesn't give the customers anything different. Little wonder that in India, iPhone hasn't been a best seller yet. At best, the device might eat into Apple's iPod touch sales compared to other branded PC sales.

With its reputation preceding it, it has already evoked price-cuts from rivals - the Samsung Galaxy Tab, for instance, is now available at Rs 29,500, down from the launch price of Rs 36,499.

However, the android bug is rather big in India. So will have to wait and see if the iPad can outdo the Android .
